Sev Puri



Sev puri is another type of chaat from India, can be eaten as snack or an appetizer. This recipe use flat puri or puffed puris (Pani Puri) which can be brought readymade or can be made at home. Puris are loaded with mashed potatoes or ragda, onions, tomato, chutneys and topped with sev.

Sev Puri Recipe:

Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:

  • 12 puris (flat or puffed)
  • 1 cup Pani Puri ragda
  • 1 cup coriander-mint chutney
  • ½ cup date-tamarind chutney
  • ½ Onions finely chopped
  • ½ Tomatoes finely chopped
  • Chopped coriander
  • Chaat masala to sprinkle
  • Red chili to sprinkle
  • ½ cup fine sev

If using flat puri. Spread potato mixed with chaat masala, amchur powder, salt and coriander on puri. Rests of the instruction remain same.

  • Make a whole in puri. Pour in warm ragda mixture, green chutney, tamarind chutney, onions and coriander.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala and red chili powder.
  • Sprinkle sev and top it with tomato.
  • Serve immediately.
