About Me


Hi! I am Dipti Lad. I was born and brought up in India into a Gujarati vegetarian family. Since I was a kid my mother used to teach me all the simple daily food that we ate which includes salad, vegetarian curry, roti, dal and rice. Indeed we used to divide the things out, so that I can get a chance to try out everything.  By the age of 15 I knew all the basics of Gujarati food.  Then I started my hands on chaats and relatively progressed to different cuisine of India.  I love to play around with all different spices, I always add and omit according to my taste buds. So this is how, the excitement and interest lead me to food enthusiast.
After I got married I moved to California. My husband always used to provoke me by telling “less salt, way spicy blah blah” but that revamped me from good to better.  I am not a perfect cook, like you all, I also visit others blogs, vlogs and get the ideas of things around.
My food blog will be a simple attempt to share my passion with food and yes you will find lots of homemade Gujarati food that I prepare daily on by blog.
