Masala Papad

Masala papad is very simple, easy to make and very tasty appetizer with salad and masala topped over it. You can use any flavored papad but the pepper one goes best with this recipe. Generally the papad is deep fried, but I kind of like to use roasted one. You can also smear oil on papad and microwave it.
This recipe will taste more like a chaat.

Masala papad recipe:

       Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 papad
  • 1 tomato deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 medium size cucumber finely chopped
  • 1/4 bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 green chili finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • lemon juice few drops
  • salt to taste
  • Coriander for garnish

Method:
  • Roast the papad
  • Mix all the toppings and lemon juice, except masalas and salt.
  • Spread the mixture over papad.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala, salt and dry mango powder.
  • Garnish with coriander.
  • You can also add carrots, all varieties of bell peppers, raw mango.
  • Make sure to add toppings just before serving, or else the papad will get soggy.
