vegetable sandwich





Sandwiches are widely popular food , eaten in every house. Easy to prepare, typically taken to work, picnic, can be served as mini party appetizers or simply healthy breakfast. Though there are different fillings goes in but the basics remain same in between bread. Any bread and vegetables can be used. Typical Indian sandwich would be bread spread with butter and green chutney with layers of potato, tomato, bell peppers, onions and cucumber served with tomato ketup.

Vegetable sandwich recipe

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices bread (wheat/white)
  • 1 medium size boiled potato cut into roundels
  • 1 tomato cut into roundels
  • ½ onion thinly sliced
  • ½ bell pepper thinly sliced
  • ½ cucumber cut into roundels
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chutney
  • Butter to grill

Instructions:

  • Mix chaat masala, red chili powder and salt to taste and keep aside.
  • Spread chutney on all bread. Arrange potato in single layer, sprinkle some masala mixture that we prepared than arrange onion and sprinkle masala.
  • Close it with another layer of bread. This complete the one layer.
  • For the second layer spread tomato roundels, sprinkle masala mixture, now arrange bell peppers and sprinkle masala. Close it with final slice of bread.
  •  Spread butter on top layer and grill unitl golden brown.
